Donald Glover is a two-time Emmy winner for outstanding lead actor and director in the comedy series ‘Atlanta’ on FX. Also known as Childish Gambino, he has recently announced two new album releases.
Three months ago, when asked by a reporter about new things coming from him, he responded, “Another album.” Since then, he has announced two upcoming albums on his Instagram, “GILGA Radio,” live April 15, which aired on Saturday Night. The next day, they came as a surprise guest brought up for Tyler the Creator at Coachella to sing “Running Out of Time.”
One of the albums said to be released is a mixed and fixed version of his album, ‘3.15.20’ originally titled “Astavita.” The reason they didn’t fix the album when it first came out was because,“We thought that everybody was gonna die because it was the pandemic.” The second one to be released is expected to be his last project, his Childish Gambino album. That is said it’s the soundtrack for his movie, “Bando Stone & The New World,” inspired by the “Batman” soundtrack by Prince.
After these two albums, he will retire the name of Childish Gambino. In his livestream he stated, “I think Childish Gambino was always like a project I wanted.” In this he goes on to say that the name of Childish Gambino is a boy turning into a boss and that Childish Gambino is fine, he just grew up.
