The Governors Ball is a music festival located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, NYC, happening June 7-9, 2024. With Coachella just wrapping up, it’s a perfect time for more events. The Governors Ball will include performances from different artists, including SZA, 21 Savage, Sabrina Carpenter, and Don Toliver.

This festival won’t stick to just one genre. In concerts like these, there’s likely to be a genre for everyone to enjoy. This one, specifically, will feature genres including hip-hop, rock, electronic, indie, Americana, pop, folk, and more.

Tickets went on sale in January for their lowest price of $130, and are still available now; only more expensive. The price of a ticket for this event can range from $310 to $579. $310 is a single-day pass, and $579 is a three-day pass. Over 150,000 people attend the Governors Ball festival every year, beating Coachella by 25,000 people.

This multi-day event was first founded in 2011 by Jordan Wolowitz, Tom Russell, and Yoni Reisman. Governors Ball Music Festival 2011 amassed the highest attendance of any event in the history of Governors Island, outselling Dave Matthews Band Caravan and Bassnectar’s Bass Island in 2011. Not only did these founders include an array of genres in their event, but they also added a variety of food trucks from many different famous New York food businesses, as well as different activities and games. This festival has continued to thrive over the years, and it isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon.
