Movies have been a part of human entertainment, even before 1895. The first movie ever made was “Roundhay Garden Scene,” Made by Louis Le Prince. Roundhay Garden Scene is a short silent motion picture, taking place in Northern England, on October 14, 1888. It’s believed to be the oldest film. The camera used was patented in the United Kingdom on November 16,1888. He’s also a French artist. The first ever motion picture movie was “The Horse in Motion,¨ made by Eadweard Muybridge.
Movies didn’t have color back then, it was black and white. They started to have color in 1908. The first movie was “A Visit to the Seaside.” A Visit to the Seaside was one of the first successful motion pictures filmed in Kinemacolor. It’s an 8-minute short film directed by George Albert Smith of Brighton, showing people doing everyday activities.
There are a lot of genres like Action, Comedy, Romance, Horror, and Sci-fi. Now it’s 2024 and movies have changed drastically. Now they have more technology to help them animate, and green screens. The newest movie that came out recently was “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” Godzilla and Kong face a colossal threat hidden deep within the planet, challenging their very existence and the survival of the human.
In April there are going to be a couple of new movies like Abigail. It‘s coming out on April 19, 2024. This movie is about a group of criminals that kidnap a 12-year-old girl. The kidnappers hold her hostage and demand ransom money, in an empty, isolated mansion. However, their plan starts to unravel when they start to find out this young girl is a bloodthirsty vampire.
Who knew that “Inside Out” was coming out with a new movie called, ¨Inside Out 2.” This movie is coming out on June 14. New and well known characters will also star, including Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust. However, when Anxiety shows up, they aren’t sure how to feel.
