TikTok and Instagram are popular social media platforms, with more than 1 billion active users. Instagram DMs are an in-app messaging feature that allows you to share and privately exchange text, photos, Reels, and posts with one or more people. Instagram is available on iPhone and Android. The age limit is at least 13 years old, but most people don’t care and as long as they have their parents’ permission. Instagram was created in 2010 by Kevin Systrom.
TikTok is one of most used social media apps. It’s a popular entertainment and comedy app that includes short film videos created by other users on the app. Its mainly used to create and share videos, but you can also message others. Some countries have full bans on TikTok, including Afghanistan, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal and Somalia, while other countries continue enjoying their time on TikTok. TikTok was created in September, 2016 by Zhang Yiming. You might not recognize this app by “TikTok” because in 2018 It was renamed from “Musically”.
TikTok and Instagram seem quite similar, although Instagram is more focused on sharing/posting photos and DMing others. TikTok is more focused on creating and sharing videos. Overall, TikTok and Instagram are popular social media apps that can be recognized by everyone.
